7 Tips for Living a Stress Free Life

Stress is a funny old thing, some people will tell you that they can’t live with it, while just as many people it seems will insist that they simply can’t live without it. In any event, there’s no doubt that the fact of the matter is that stress can and does cause serious health issues, and should be avoided wherever possible.

Here are seven tips to help you live a stress free life.

Control. If you have an A type personality, the odds are that you are a perfectionist, and as a consequence experience stress most of the time. Control only those things that you can, and leave the rest to fate.

Negativity. If you surround yourself with negative people, or if you have a negative attitude, then you’re always going to be in a stressful mode. Look on the bright side of things. Think positive, be confident, and empower yourself to drive away all the factors that bring negativity into your life.

Sleep. Sleep deprivation can cause stress. Lack of sleep will make you nervous, irritable, lethargic and unable to perform any task that needs to be done. Make sure that you sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours every night.

Fear. Fear can cause a whole host of stress-related health conditions including anxiety, panic attacks and the inability to live a normal life. Talk to a friend or a professional and find out what issues are causing you fear.

Exercise. Walking, jogging, biking or running not only relieves stress, but also keeps you healthy and energetic. Throw in a proper diet as well for some added health benefits.

Aromatherapy. Using scented oils at home can help you to achieve calm and relaxation. The use of scented candles or teas like chamomile, and warm baths of lavender and rose can put you at ease in an instant. Meditation and yoga are also great.

Positive Thinking. Life has enough problems without you having to worry about inconsequential matters that, at the end of the day, really don’t matter. Develop an attitude that is positive, empowering and that inspires others. Laugh as often as you can and as much as you can.

Living a stress free life may not be easy in today’s non-stop society, however conquering stress will not only make your life more enjoyable, it could also lengthen it.
