What kind of healthy food would help my friend's kid safely gain weight?

She has lactose intolerance and apparently cannot digest wheat products! She is not even 2 years old but is already getting thin! She needs to gain weight for healthy growth! What can she eat? Please list off some food ideas and suggestions.
Lactose intolerance means that regular milk products - milk, cheese, ice cream, and maybe even yogurt - are out of the question outside of specially modified versions. Under 2 years old is definitely going to make taking a lactaid pill problematic!
I've seen a number of good suggestions spread out over all the answers, so I'm having a tough time selecting a "best" answer! Thank you for the advice so far!

I was a little underweight for my height. I ate a lot of protein (meat, fish, nuts) and snacked on fruits and veggies. I'd suggest eating many little meals throughout the day (doctors call it "grazing") rather than eating 3 big meals.

i dont cook much plus im always busy with school and work everyday so i was wondering what kinds of food i can get since im always eating out. Like today i got subway 12' one of the ones that are 6 grams of fat and less and i ate half for lunch and im gonna eat half for dinner. I had no mayoi, cheese, or vinegar, just the meat, bread, and veggies. Are olives ok by the way???? cuz i asked for extra olives since i like olives. What are foods are healthy to purchase at restaurants and fast food?

A Subway is a good choice, and so is a salad with low-calorie dressing. Get a copy of Jane Brody's "Good Food Book." It has a lot of excellent information about healthy eating and how to choose good foods away from home. Black olives have a lot of oil calories (but you need some fat in your diet), and green olives are salty.

I am throwing a bachelorette party for my vegetarian/dieting friend. What are some healthy food ideas?

I've been having appetite problems of late, so i need to know what healthy food, be it vegatables or whatever i can have the most volume of without any undesireable effect. Minimal preperation would be good too…

Spinach with fat free salad dressing
broccoli with salt and pepper

pretty much all veggies are free foods.

Happy munching!

How do I develope a taste for healthy food?

I just can't stand healthy food, and that leaves me being not so healthy

Ah, grasshopper, those of us in the food formulating business know that to make food (any food) taste better, add 1) more salt 2) more sugar 3) more fat and if that fails, try garlic or tomatoes. You and everyone else are hooked, buwahahaha.
Personally, I don't eat much processed food, and stay out of restaurants.
Try buying good bread from a bakery, drinking your coffee (or tea) black/ clear. Drink lots of water. It's a long step, your arteries will thank you
