How can I be strong physically, fit and have a good cardiovascular fitness?
I want to be strong physically and I want to improve my cardiovascular fitness. Unfortunately, I don't go to clubs anymore to run a lot. So I have to depend on myself every week on Saturdays and Sundays to run. Unless of course, there is a good sport I discover, I will take the chance.
But for now, what kind of thing would you recommend me to do if I want to improve my upper-body strength and cardiovascular fitness to do every week? Thanks in advance. Help much appreciated.
I would highly recommand a very good product which is a kettlebell.
It is a nicely raw iron with many variation of exercise you can do. As for cardiovascular, "The swing" which is the foundational exercise is the best as it develops general fitness and cross over to many other sport. You can google search for kettlebell and know more about it but I believe the best website for it will be dragondoor.
The 1st link is on description of kettlebell
The 2nd link is my affilate link to dragondoor
The 3rd link is my blog
How do I improve my cardio vascular fitness/endurance level? Any supplement can help?
I know that exercise can improve cardio vascular fitness level but is there any supplement / medication that can raise it?
any supplement/medication that raises your cardio rate is BAD BAD BAD.
it would stress your system unnaturally.
Stick to the sweat and huff method. Run,jog, etc.
What are the best fitness classes out there that help you to tone up the belly?
I am looking for fitness classes that are great to help you to tone up I would love a flatter stomach. I have had a go at body pump but that class kills me. So if you know any fitness classes that have really toned u up or you pals. Please let me know?
In order to tone up the best form of physical activity is weight training. Its the best and most effective method of toning and burning body fat. Aerobic classes such as body pump, spinning etc are brilliant but to really firm up you should get a weights programme done specifically for the areas you want to tone up. For your tummy you need to burn body fat and then tone, sit ups will not tone your tummy on their own unless you are burning fat consistently and resistant type exercises are by far the best. If you going to a gym get the instructor to do a programme for you 25-30min 3x a week is suffice. Or get a fit ball and do resistant exercises at home - you will see results within 2-3 weeks.Good luck.
How much is the effect of alcohol on my fitness level?
I am an athlete and I play pro basketball at my local club. I also am an occasional jogger and love to play other sports as well. But occasionally I go out on weekends and consume alot of alcohol. Im talking about beer, rum, tequila, vodka, and many other kinds! I dont get to the state of getting drunk, because I usually stop when I feel like Im getting there. I know that alcohol cant be good in any form, but I just would like to know what kind of damage are we talking about here? I have an almost perfect fitness level according to recent tests, but I wasnt consuming much alcohol then as well.
Now Im planning to take a vacation and I KNOW that ill be drinking alot, therfore I would like to know what are the given consequences if any with regards to my fitness level.
Thanks for the input.
Drinking affects fitness in the following ways:
It interferes with cardio-respiratory fitness; heart and lungs work less efficiently
It directly damages muscle groups
It can lead to increased weight
It increases the risk of accidents and injuries
It damages the immune system, making you more susceptible to infection
It increases the time needed to recover from injuries and illnesses
It causes dehydration, making exercise dangerous and unpleasant
Exercising when you still have alcohol in you can cause a heart attack, kidney failure, cramping, even convulsions.
but most things, done in moderation, are OK.
Enjoy your vacation and bring me something back!
What kind of teas and fitness waters are actually good for you?
I drink propel fitness water when I work out and other then that I only drink straight water the rest of the time. I occasionally have a mountain dew or alcoholic beverages. But in terms of all the flavored water drinks out there(lifewater, vitamin water, etc) and the green teas(too many brands to list), which one of them are healthy to drink? Or should I just stick with plain water.
tea- green tea.
firness water- regular water, or propel is the best, & powerade option. zero calories in that!
hope this helps! =] ♥
